Dave Cathey

After 32 years as an award-winning journalist at The Oklahoman, including 14 years as Food Editor and author of The Food Dude column, Dave Cathey left in December of 2022. Today, he operates The Food Dood Feed on substack.com and started Foodiciary, a production company. He's the author of two books about Oklahoma food culture (A Culinary History of Pittsburg County: Little Italy, Choctaw Beer & Lamb Fries and Historic Restaurants of Oklahoma City) for History Press and is currently working on a new one. When he's not eating, drinking, or making merry, Dave waits by the phone for his daughter Kate, who is a teacher in Durango, to call.
