- 4 slices bacon cut into ¼ inch pieces
- 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
- 2 16 ounce cans pork & beans
- 1 teaspoon dried mustard
- 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup molasses
- ½ cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon fresh cracked pepper
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In an oven-safe pot, saute chopped onion and sliced bacon over medium heat until bacon is cooked through and onions are translucent. Add remaining ingredients and mix until incorporated. Place in preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes. Top will caramelize when ready.
