For some people, getting your hands dirty means stacking the fork on your plate for the waiter to clear or even scrubbing the dirt off the carrots for your salad—but for others, like Elia Woods, it’s much more than that. As the Co-Founder and Farm Manager of CommonWealth Urban Farms in Oklahoma City, she is getting her hands dirty, literally and figuratively, by working to cultivate a model of urban farms that can eventually work all over the city.
