Ingredients

SERVINGS: 1 Serving(s)
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1 ounce pure maple syrup
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • 1 piece pecan smoking chip
  • 1 lemon twist
  • propane torch

Preparation

Get an old-fashioned glass ready. Using a torch, carefully burn the rosemary, pecan wood, and lemon twist on a cookie sheet or other non-flammable surface. Set the rosemary and wood on fire, side by side. Slowly cover the fire with your glass and allow the smoke to coat the glass while you make the rest of your cocktail. Fill a shaker ¾ full of ice, add bourbon, lemon juice, and maple syrup. Shake until very cold. Get more ice ready and invert the smoke filled glass, add ice, charred rosemary, and strain the cocktail into the glass. Drop in the charred lemon twist. Make sure all fires are extinguished and enjoy your drink!
