- 2 cups of vanilla ice cream
- 2 ounces Dark Rum
- 1 banana
- 1/3 cup of sugar
Peel banana and slice lengthwise into three strips. Place on a cookie sheet sprinkle the entire surface of each slice with sugar. Using a propane torch, melt the sugar until amber and bubbly. If you don't have a torch, place under the broiler and watch closely.
In a blender, add 2 cups of ice cream, 1 1/2 slices of the brûléed banana and 2 oz of dark rum. Blend until combined, adding milk, if needed, for consistency. Pour into a glass and garnish with a slice of brûléed banana.
