The air is getting crisp and holiday cooking and parties are just around the corner. The smell of spices and warm flavors really begin to take hold of our taste buds. We leave the cool refreshing cocktails of the summer behind us and welcome, darker, warmer cocktails. Cocktails that pair well with rich meals, a day spent baking or a cozy evening by the fire.

This first drink really has a festive feel to it with the frosted Christmas look of the sugaredrosemary garnish. Rosemary simple syrup, combined with botanicals in the gin, really bring in the aroma of evergreen, and the grenadine gives it the perfect color for a festive drink. Be sure to purchase a good grenadine! Check the ingredients or you will end up with the cough syrup aftertaste we’ve all grown to dread when it comes to grenadine.

Now you will be armed with some holiday cocktails to make at your next party or feast. Enjoy!

Okie Stormy

Bourbon-Spiked Mexican Hot Chocolate
